Samantha Barry is the first global editorial director for Glamour. She oversees all content, development, strategy, and consumer experiences across the brand’s global editions in Germany, Mexico and Latin American, Spain, UK, and the U.S. Barry has been the editor in chief of Glamour U.S. since 2018 and in 2021 became Americas editorial director.
Under her leadership, Glamour emphasizes a digital-first focus on original reporting, exclusive features, and unique perspectives impacting women today across the world.
Over the last two years, Barry has highlighted female entrepreneurship while advocating for paid leave across the country. During Women’s History Month, Glamour released its ‘By Women: The Glamour 100’– highlighting products from women-owned businesses to drive purchases to their site. At the same time, Glamour launched a national campaign with Paid Leave for All to pass the country’s first paid family and medical leave program, guaranteeing all working people the right to take paid time off to care for a newborn, a sick relative, or themselves.
